The 14-Nation Trip to the Jungle- Adventure Gold-Coast II
14 nationals- AIESEC interns!!! Diversity in Reality!!!
It was the 2nd weekend in October (by my definition) and 13 of the trainees in Accra and Takoradi decided to go on a trip to Kakum National Park- an historic rainforest in the Central region of Ghana. Travelling thru Cape-coast, we got to Karkum at about 3:00 p.m. We were an amazing group of 14 people, each from a different country and we had 3 continients represented:) -Holland, Romania, Cameroon, Kenya, Ukraine, Lithuania, Serbia, Norway, Czech, Belgium, Venezuela, Germany, USA and Nigeria;) WOW!!!

The national park amongst other things, gives a most intresting experience of walking through a bridge built with ropes on very tall trees.

Dying a thousand times and remaning alive:)

This phrase best describs how I felt while climbing the awesome bridge. A peep at the ground could make you die of fear when you see that the ground is miles and miles away in a thick forest where there are many dangerous animals:)...There are 7 different bridges built on very tall trees and it was a one-way traffic where you couldn't turn back after starting:) The most scary part was that the bridges swang and cracked as you walk on them and the slower you walk, the worse it becomes:)..Now you know why I said it was like dying a thousand times...each step could mean falling from that great height into the mouth of a hungry lion;)

Thank God I survived
...or rather.. thank God we surivived!!! After the amazing Kamum experience coupled with an opportunity to meet some new friends- who were cabin-crew members of Emirates Airlines (Yes..Emirates!!!), we finally retired to our nice lodging place which was 15 mins drive away. We lodged at Hans Botel (wow! wow! wow!)- a guest house built on a swamp of crocodiles. Of course! it was fun eating next to a pond full of crocodiles...;) We spent the night at Hans and left for Anomabo Beach Resort where we spent the better part of Sunday:)

It was nice to hang-out with great people and we were all happy to be together having fun and sharing ideas + experiences.
Sunday- 8th of October, was also the birthday of my friend Patrick (Dutch- to a fault;)...and he had a great day with us all on the beach. I felt envious of how he spent his birthday when I remembered that I had my last birthday spent on the nice streets of Warsaw visiting the beautiful Palace w Wilanowie...Did I say envious?:P...Just kidding...for sure, I had the best day ever;)...POLSKA! my POLSKA;)
Time to go back to Accra!..We got a pretty ok "tro-tro"- (a commercial mini-bus), which tooks us back home...We got back tired....and this Monday wouldn't be the best of our most productive days...YES!!! Crissy and Patrick knows what I'm talking about;)
